Privacy Notice

Last updated: 25 September 2026

This notice explains how Future Chain Advisory Ltd collects and uses personal data through the Future Chain™ Readiness Index (FCSRI) assessment, Lite Report and Pro Advisory upgrade (together, “the Service”), whether you reach it from fcsri-platform or from futurechainadvisory.com.

1. Who we are

Future Chain Advisory Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.

  • Company name: Future Chain Advisory Ltd
  • Company number: 17303692
  • Registered office: 4 Old London Road, Benson, Oxfordshire, OX10 6RR
  • ICO registration: We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) as a data controller.
  • Contact: graeme@futurechainadvisory.com

2. What personal data we collect

Directly from you:

  • Your name, job title/role, and company name
  • Your email address
  • Your free-text narrative answers to the FCSRI assessment questions, and the scores you select
  • Order and payment details (product purchased, amount, order status) — we do not collect or store your card details ourselves; these are handled directly by our payment provider, Square

From third parties:

  • Payment status confirmation from Square once you complete a purchase

We do not use analytics or tracking cookies. We only collect the data essential to producing your report, and we don’t share it with other clients or use it for anyone else’s benefit.

3. How we use your data, and our lawful basis

What we doWhy (lawful basis)
Score your free assessment and prepare your Lite ReportPerformance of a contract with you (or steps you asked us to take before entering one)
Take payment for a Lite Report or Pro Advisory upgradePerformance of a contract
Use your narrative answers to generate report content, including AI-assisted draftingLegitimate interests — delivering a useful, well-checked report is the whole point of the Service
Email you your report, order confirmations, and (if you upgrade) arrange your advisory sessionPerformance of a contract
Keep financial recordsLegal obligation (UK tax law)
Improve the FCSRI methodologyLegitimate interests, using anonymised or aggregated data wherever possible

4. Automated processing

Preparing your report involves automated and AI-assisted analysis of the answers you submit (for example, checking whether your narrative supports the score you selected). Every Lite Report is reviewed and approved by a human before it is released to you — no decision that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you is made solely by automated means.

5. Who we share your data with

We share personal data with the following processors, solely to deliver the Service:

  • Square — processes your payment; receives your name, email, and order amount, not your assessment answers.
  • Resend — sends transactional emails (order confirmations, report-ready notifications) on our behalf.
  • Supabase — hosts our database and handles customer sign-in for “My Reports.”
  • Anthropic — receives the narrative text you submit, solely to help generate report content. Under Anthropic’s commercial/API terms, inputs and outputs from commercial products are not used to train their models by default.
  • Microsoft Azure — hosts our backend application.
  • Vercel — hosts our website.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing purposes.

6. International transfers

Some of the providers above may process data outside the UK (for example, if a provider’s servers are located in the EU or US). Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards each provider has in place for international transfers, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. How long we keep your data

We keep assessment, report and order data for as long as you have an active relationship with us, plus 6 years afterwards (aligning with UK tax/accounting record-keeping requirements), or until you ask us to delete it — whichever is sooner, except where we’re legally required to keep financial records for longer.

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Ask us to delete your data (subject to any legal obligation we have to keep it)
  • Ask us to restrict or object to certain processing
  • Ask for your data in a portable format
  • Complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk, or 0303 123 1113) if you think we’ve handled your data incorrectly

To exercise any of these, email graeme@futurechainadvisory.com.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) throughout the Service, access controls on our reviewer and database systems, and working only with processors who provide equivalent safeguards.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows the most recent revision.
